MedCabinet takes user privacy very seriously. We adopt a "privacy-first" design philosophy - your medication data is completely under your control. We do not store any personal data on our servers, nor do we sell your data to third parties.
Information We Collect
MedCabinet only stores the following information locally on your device:
- Medication names and descriptions
- Medication expiration dates
- Medication inventory quantities
- Medication photos (added at your discretion)
- Medication reminder settings
Note: All data above is stored locally on your device by default.
iCloud Sync
If you choose to enable iCloud sync:
- Your data will be synchronized through Apple's iCloud service
- Data is encrypted during transmission and storage
- We do not store any copies on our own servers
- You can disable iCloud sync at any time in Settings
How We Use Your Data
📱 Local Storage
All medication data is stored locally on your device using iOS Core Data technology. We do not collect, upload, or analyze any of your data.
🔔 Local Notifications
Medication reminders and expiration alerts use the iOS local notification system, requiring no internet connection and sending no data to any server.
📷 Photo Access
The app only accesses your camera or photo library when you choose to add medication photos. Photos are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to any server.
📊 Analytics Data
We do not collect any usage analytics data. Your usage habits are completely private.
Third-Party Services
MedCabinet uses the following Apple native services:
- iCloud: For optional data synchronization
- CloudKit: For family data sharing (if enabled)
These services are protected by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Data Security
We take the following measures to protect your data:
- All data is stored locally on your device, protected by iOS system security
- Support for iOS device encryption and Face ID/Touch ID protection
- iCloud sync data uses end-to-end encryption
- No third-party tracking code or advertising SDKs
Your Rights
As a user, you have the following rights:
- Right to Access: View all data in the app at any time
- Right to Export: Export data as PDF or CSV format
- Right to Delete: Delete the app and all its data at any time
- Right to Control: Full control over iCloud sync on/off
Children's Privacy
MedCabinet is not directed to children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and discover that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete such information.
